Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Eugene, Oregon. The chosen candidate will be part of our team, managing financial tasks primarily related to customer payments and account management. This role involves working on-site, with an option to work remotely one day a week. Responsibilities Managing and processing customer credit applications with precision and speed Maintaining comprehensive and accurate customer credit records Addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action when required Collecting payments from customers, ensuring timely and accurate processing Calling on past due accounts to manage and collect outstanding payments Using software tools such as Microsoft Excel and Banner for various tasks Reconciling accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted Collaborating with students, understanding their needs and addressing their inquiries Assisting in other accounts receivable tasks such as billing and cash collections.Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential. Demonstrated experience in managing accounts receivable (AR) is required. Familiarity with billing procedures and cash applications. Experience in cash collections is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory. Familiarity with the Banner system is preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is desirable. Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulations. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
