Cascade Adventure Mountain Programs (aka C.A.M.P. Bend) is seeking to grow our team of professional Adventure Guides for the 2025 Summer Season! Job Title: Adventure Guide (Day Trips)
Overview: The Adventure Guide (AG) is an integral part of the programming team at C.A.M.P. Bend. The AG shall operate in a professional manner with all stakeholders (employees, clients, community members, etc) and always represent the values of C.A.M.P. Bend. The AG primary role is to deliver safe, fun, outdoor programming for campers.
Reports to: CAMP Bend Director
The Adventure Guide is responsible for:
Pre-trip preparation including paperwork, equipment, and supplies organization
Group facilitation and supervision of multiple adventure activities
Adventure Service Delivery: to include providing outdoor adventure activities for youth and other clients. Must be adept at group facilitation, risk management, and client supervision in multiple outdoor adventure activities including but not limited to hiking, backpacking, paddling, biking, camping, rock climbing, environmental education, skiing, snowshoeing, and other similar activities.
Client contact: to ensure safety (both physical and emotion) throughout duration of all programs for all participants
Knowledge and facilitation of C.A.M.P Bend programming curriculum
Administrative duties: include paperwork associated programming and client files
Post trip duties to include gear down, equipment cleaning, parent/camper contact, and paperwork completion
Schedule:
Approximately 20-30 hours per week.
Weekdays, with some nights and weekend days possible. No overnights!
Key Deliverables:
Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
Safety and Risk Management Focus
Able to facilitate and supervise multiple adventure activities (hiking, paddling, biking, caving, backpacking, camping, and more)
Completed paperwork for staff and clients, organized paper and electronic files.
Requirements:
Minimum 1st Aid and CPR (Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder Preferred)
Lifeguard trained preferred
Related degree preferred.
Experience with children in the outdoors required.
21 years+
Able to drive 15-passenger van with clean driving record.
Able to pass criminal background check.
Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs and work in an outdoor environment.
