Description Job Title: Temporary Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description: We are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling our company's accounts payable tasks. This involves updating and maintaining financial records, processing invoices, handling petty cash, and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded. You'll also perform thorough checks to ensure no double payments are being made and, when necessary, rectify issues relating to billing or payment.Responsibilities:
Reviewing and verifying invoices and check requests.
Sort, code and match invoices.
Set up invoices up for payment.
Enter and upload invoices into the system.
Track expenses and process expense reports.
Prepare and perform check runs.
Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
Prepare analysis of accounts.
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
Maintain vendor files.
Provide supporting documentation for audits.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proven working experience as an accounts payable specialist for at least 3 years.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel - i.e. pivot tables and vlookups.
Excellent data entry skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
Knowledge of a large ERP software is required.
High school diploma required, degree in Finance or Business preferred.
