JOB SUMMARY: Hood River County is looking for an individual who can
serve the County Community Development Department as a professional
planner responsible for moderate to complex planning projects and
support in accordance with the Oregon Statewide Planning Program,
Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Management Plan, and Hood
River County Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance. JOB DUTIES: At
minimum, the position will involve applying County, State and Federal
law and ordinances to various land use permit proposals, including both
ministerial and administrative type applications. It will also involve
conducting research, analyzing data, and presenting oral and written
reports to the County Community Development Director and, occasionally,
the County Planning Commission and County Board of Commissioners. Direct
interaction with the public and answering technical planning and zoning

QUALIFICATIONS: College degree in planning or related field or any
combination of experience and training as determined by the hiring
authority. ANNUAL SALARY: Depending on qualifications: $30.31 -
$44.87/hour
