Auto Technician

Potters Automotive is hiring an experienced auto technician to join our busy, well established eight bay shop in Silverton, Oregon. We have a large loyal customer base and take pride in our values of producing accurate, quality work. There has never been a shortage of work. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. We work on most makes and models and support ongoing development of skills and learning. The work environment is safe and equipped with up to date diagnostic equipment, software support, specialty tools, and plenty of room for your toolbox. This is a locally owned shop that values its technicians.

Responsibilities:

Perform drivability diagnostics with skills to document and report your findings in a detailed and accurate manner.

Utilize skills to efficiently comprehend wiring diagrams and service manuals in order to accurately diagnose customer concerns.

Ensure that all repairs completed are done efficiently and with a high quality standard.

Perform routine maintenance tasks from oil and fluid changes to more complex repairs such as head gaskets, timing belts/chains, differential bearings, electrical diagnosis, and more.

Use of safe work practices as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Showing respect for yourself and others.

A strong reliable work ethic

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years with proven experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic.

A valid drivers license.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

ASE Certs a plus, but not mandatory.

Previous diesel repair experience a plus, but not mandatory.

Own sufficient basic tools to diagnose and repair customer vehicles

Compensation:

$30-$40 per hour flat rate DOE
