Battery and Roadside Assistance

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Battery and Roadside Assistance Technician to provide essential on-site battery services and roadside support. This sales-oriented position involves diagnosing battery issues, performing replacements, and addressing minor vehicle concerns. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with customers, offer solutions, and drive sales through additional service recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

-Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire repairs, fluid checks, and minor mechanical fixes.

-Diagnose and troubleshoot battery issues, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.

-Install new batteries and dispose of old ones safely while educating customers on battery maintenance.

-Provide top-tier customer service, clearly communicating solutions and upselling services.

-Complete work orders, diagnostic reports, and other necessary documentation.

-Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

-Drive local service calls to support customers in need, ensuring timely and effective assistance.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. 0-2 years of automotive experience preferred.

Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills; proficiency in diagnosing and repairing battery and vehicle issues; ability to sell services and make recommendations to customers.

Certifications: Valid driver’s license required. ASE certification or equivalent experience is a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

-Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.

-Frequent travel to various service locations; work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.

-Ability to work in confined spaces and use tools and equipment with precision.
