Job Description:

This position is responsible for all aspects of company benefits programs, including health insurance, voluntary benefits, leaves of absence, and workers’ compensation. Determine and manage eligibility and participation. Compile reports and communicate with vendors. Plan and administer annual open enrollment process. Maintain and manage all company benefits documents. The focus of responsibility is health and welfare plan administration and to process and administer all types of leaves of absence.

This position also coordinates the Company’s workers’ compensation program by receiving claims, ensuring proper reporting, coordinates follow-up care, return to work job offers and acts as the liaison between stores, injured workers and the Company’s insurance carrier.

Requirements:

Ensure regulatory compliance of all programs

Must be knowledgeable about a variety of benefits concepts, practices, procedures, laws and regulations for Oregon and California

Must have strong attention to detail, organizational skills and analytical skills.

Strong written, interpersonal skills and professionalism with a customer service mindset a must. Must be able to manage sensitive information and always uphold confidentiality.

Demonstrated experience and familiarity with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA; Health Savings Accounts; Flexible Spending Accounts, ACA, FMLA, OFLA, CFRA and ADA

Ability to communicate and provide effective guidance at all levels of our company.

Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, data maintenance, analysis and reporting.

Working knowledge of HRIS and/or payroll and timeclock system a must.

Interacts with all benefit plan third-party administrators.

Works closely with and reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
