Overview:

Pettit Staffing seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to work at an accounting firm for a temporary to hire opportunity.

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. This is a vital role within our organization, ensuring the smooth financial operations of the company.

Duties:

- Utilize Quicken software to record and maintain financial transactions

- Perform general ledger reconciliation and account analysis

- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes

- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports

- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate recordkeeping

- Conduct regular financial audits to identify discrepancies or errors

- Generate financial reports and statements for management review

- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits

- Stay updated on relevant financial concepts and industry regulations

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role

- Proficient in using accounting software such as Quicken or QuickBooks

- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance

- Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation and account analysis

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Advanced 10-key typing skills for efficient data input

- Ability to generate comprehensive financial reports

- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
