Schedule: May vary. Must be willing to work weekends, day and swing shifts (up to 11:30 pm) as well as holidays. Must be willing to take after hours phone calls.

Our General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the motel to include providing an exceptional hospitality experience to all guests, maintaining high-level morale amongst staff, and managing / meeting budgetary goals including net profits while adhering to and ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed by all personnel.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Minimum 3 years hospitality/management experience, preferred. (Willing to train the right person.)
Proven leadership and customer service skills
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Team player who works alongside their staff
Assist in the team hiring process, train, supervise and develop subordinates
Counsel, discipline and make recommendations for dismissals
Manage in compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations
Excellent organizational skills
Meticulous record keeping (guest folio as well as staff disciplinary records)
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
Understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
Maintain cost control
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
Developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Interact with guest for guest stay feedback and maintaining motel service scores standards
Revenue management experience is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Google docs, etc.)
Verify all reports, folios, and charges are in order and properly maintained
Experience is PMS systems preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Working knowledge of social media, preferred
Good knowledge of the local area and businesses
Ability to be flexible with scheduling; available weekends, holidays, day and swing shift (as late as 11:30 pm) and on-call
Must be willing to take after hours phone calls.
