CNC Machinist needed for growing company.

Established machine shop/engineering company seeking an organized, detail-oriented CNC machinist for full-time position. You will be part of a competent, energetic team who work well together converting ideas into reality. Must be dependable, reliable, and hard working.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for set-up and operation of 3 axis CNC milling machines.

Staying on-task with little supervision.

To make most efficient use of machinery and equipment.

Inspect and deburr parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper measuring instruments.

Keep work area clean, neat and orderly.

Implement daily and weekly maintenance.

Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned

To share expertise and knowledge throughout the machine shop

Skills and Requirements:

At least 5 years’ experience operating 3 Axis CNC milling machines in a job shop/prototype environment including manual milling.

Experience in machining stainless steels, tooling steels, aluminum and plastics.

Knowledge of tooling speeds & feeds, ability to adjust machine parameters in order to maintain high efficiency machining.

Experience with reading and understanding CNC machine code, CAD/CAM programing experience preferred but not required.

Ability to work on a wide variety of parts from simple large blocks to small-complex parts.

Ability to read mechanical machine drawings, good working knowledge of GD&T

Strong knowledge of reading measuring tools to meet tight tolerances.

Strong communication skills.
