JOB SUMMARY Manage all college store operations, providing quality

services to students and other campus customers while maintaining

profitability, including coordination of purchasing, receiving, pricing,

inventory management, shipping and returns for the store; prepare and

coordinate store budgets; develop operating policies and procedures for

the store, and provide day-to-day supervision of staff engaged in

college store activities. This position reports to the Chief Financial

Officer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1. Work with faculty to establish and maintain

a timely and cost-effective system of procuring instructional materials

to ensure students' ability to obtain them at reasonable pricing. 2.

Develop merchandising strategies to augment college store operations. 3.

Price, stock, advertise and display merchandise and instructional

materials. 4. Oversee daily cash receipts; prepare daily sales reports;

monitor expenditures and operating budgets. 5. Monitor

staff/instructional supply inventory and arrange for replenishment of

items as necessary, processes merchandise requests for departments and

staff. 6. Prepare annual inventory. 7. Supervise, train, and provide

orientation and evaluations for staff, including part-time staff and

student workers; develop work schedules. 8. Monitor security and

maintenance of store interior to ensure pleasant and safe customer and

employee environment. 9. Sort and distribute college mail daily; quickly

and accurately operate meter mail machine daily. 10. Operate high speed

copiers and perform collating, stapling, cutting, binding, punching for

copy center projects. 11. Participate in College meetings and

activities. 12. Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ' High School graduation or equivalent + three

or more years of customer service and/or retail sales experience

performing general sales, purchasing, merchandising, and accounting

activities or an equivalent combination of education and experience

sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such

as those listed above. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ' Three or more years

of previous experience in retail management sufficient to successfully

perform the essential duties of the job. ' Prior significant work

experience in college store operations is desirable.
