Commercial / Residential Construction Superintendent

Kellcon is looking to add a talented Commercial / Residential Superintendent to our team. Our ideal candidate would meet the following qualifications:

 5-10+ years superintendent experience in commercial and residential construction. May consider a combination of demonstrated experience.

 BS in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or similar is preferred.

 Standard computer and office skills – MS Office, MS Project or other software scheduling, Procore, daily reports, etc.

 Demonstrated understanding of superintendent responsibilities from preconstruction through warranty.

 Demonstrated success of timely and fast-tracked projects.

 Demonstrated budget management and cost control.

 Comprehensive knowledge of production and custom framing and other potentially self-performed scopes of work (concrete, etc.).

 Demonstrated ability to read and understand all constructions plans and documents.

 Familiarity with a variety of custom and high-end finishes.

 Safety conscientious. Working knowledge of OSHA commercial and residential safety requirements.

 Maintain an efficient and clean jobsite with emphasis on both production and quality control.

 Represents position and company professionally with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, employees, etc. Builds and maintains positive working relationships.

 Key leadership characteristics would include accountability, follow-through, mentorship style

management, excellent organization and time management skills, efficiency, dependability, open communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Jobsite setup, mobilization, and demobilization.

 Contract review and scope management.

 Subcontractor procurement, coordination, management.

 Project forecasting, budget/cost control, monthly reporting.

 Correspondence and document management – Liaise with Owners, Architects, Municipalities. Attend various project team meetings. Prepare and monitor schedules, RFI’s, submittals, daily logs, timesheets, safety reports, as-builts, shop drawings, punch-list, other various project startup and closeout docs, etc.

 Coordinate permits, inspections, deliveries, manpower, etc.

 Maintain safe jobsite in accordance with OSHA, local regulations. Perform jobsite orientations, safety meetings, various training.
