Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a Controller to sit on their executive team in the Portland, OR area. As the Controller, you will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. This includes financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support decision-making processes. The role involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic guidance to senior management. The Controller plays a key role in driving financial performance, optimizing resource allocation, and identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvement. Strong leadership, analytical skills, and extensive experience in financial management are essential for success in this role. Your main duties will include:-Financial Reporting & Closing: Oversee the monthly closing of books and prepare financial reports for stakeholders, including income, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.-Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare the annual budget and periodic forecasts to assist senior management in profitable business planning and management.-Profitability Analysis & Strategic Planning: Generate and utilize profitability reports to guide leadership on financial outcomes and engage in strategic planning discussions.-Compliance & Review: Collaborate with external auditors for the annual review of financial statements and ensure compliance with Board and bank requirements.-Operational Oversight: Manage biannual inventory checks, supervise investment committees, oversee 401(k) audits, tax filings, account reconciliations, and the accounts payable process.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
