Northwest Care is a family-owned company, looking to make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities (or "I/DD") in Bend. We are hiring for the role of DSP (otherwise known as Direct Support Professionals), who are the heroes responsible for supporting our clients in their activities of daily living, for example
- Mealtimes: We prepare and serve food to our clients, and eat all together! All staff each shift are fed, not only breakfast, lunch and dinner but snacks as well!
- Going out: DSP's take clients on "preferred outings", like trips to the library, walks in the park, visits to restaurants, etc. (Vehicles and fuel provided for by Northwest Care.)
- Medical Assistance: Clients may need assistance in regards to their medical care, including support with checking vitals, administering medication and other treatments, and so on. A great opportunity for someone looking to gain medical experience out in the field!
- Household Maintenance: Each staff member participates in light cleaning tasks around the home, like taking out the trash, switching laundry, wiping down the kitchen.

Qualifications:
18 years old and above
Valid drivers license
Submit and pass a background check
NO prior experience needed
NO prior training - NWC provides all necessary training including First Aid, Oregon Intervention system training, etc which are transferable certifications!
