AECOM is seeking an Environmental Engineer II to be based out of our Portland, Oregon office. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a strong background in environmental engineering and a successful work history in environmental investigations (groundwater, soil vapor, and soil sampling) and environmental site remediation of impacted sites, as well as strong task management and report writing skills.Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:Remediation system operation and maintenance.Serve as the task lead for environmental projects working under the supervision of a Project Manager.Coordinate efforts of subcontractors and field/support staff.Project and task support, data analysis, report writing, assisting with cost estimating, remedial plan preparation, and design support.Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.Work with a team to develop proposed approaches to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods previously developed.Work on routine engineering assignments involving calculations.Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.Qualified candidates must be comfortable with working in the field to assist with remediation system operations, maintenance, and monitoring.
