Pacific Community Design has an immediate opening for a Project Manager (Civil Engineering).
As a Project Manager, you will oversee and direct teams of engineers, drafters, planners, and technical professionals across multiple disciplines to ensure the successful execution of projects. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and jurisdictions, leveraging your expertise in land development, civil engineering, or related fields to provide leadership, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities, Tasks, Authority:
- Plan and direct project teams, including workload projection, resource delegation, and timeline management.
- Manage project budgets, maintain workload estimates, and provide input for invoicing through review of client invoices.
- Track all permits, applications, and correspondence with clients, jurisdictions, and team participants.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during project execution, managing requests and issues from clients, contractors, and jurisdictions.
- Ensure the project stays on scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining open communication regarding adjustments and granted requests.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting through project closeout.
- Foster collaboration across disciplines, including Planning, Surveying, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering, while working closely with Project Assistants and other team members.
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships, network with industry professionals, and represent PCD’s values in all interactions.
- Actively seek out opportunities for new business while nurturing relationships with existing clients to support company growth.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in Land Development, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage scope of work and delegate effectively.
- Analytical mindset to identify optimal solutions and allocate resources efficiently.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities with a clear understanding of project vision, goals, and outcomes.
- Leadership skills to motivate teams and overcome project barriers.
- Strong written and verbal communication to define tasks, goals, and expectations for all project stakeholders.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, project management software, and applicable industry tools.
