Housekeeper / Laundry Attendant

Apply

We’re a small, independent hotel in downtown Ashland looking for an energetic team-player who’s equally comfortable turning rooms and powering through mountains of linens.

You’ll split your day between housekeeping (about 70 %) and laundry operations (about 30 %), jumping in wherever the day’s occupancy and linen-flow demand.

If you love the smell of fresh sheets, take pride in sparkling bathrooms, and don’t mind a little hustle, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping Tasks:

Clean, dust, vacuum and sanitize guest rooms, corridors and public areas to brand standards.

Strip and make beds; replace linens, terry and amenities.

Replenish carts/closets; track par levels and inform supervisor of shortages.

Report maintenance or security issues promptly.

Interact warmly with guests while respecting privacy.

Follow all safety, OSHA and eco-sanitation guidelines.

Laundry & Linen-Room Tasks:

Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, fold and press sheets, towels and terry using commercial machines.

Monitor chemical levels, machine cycles and temperatures for best results and linen longevity.

Inspect finished product for stains, tears or excessive wear; pull rejects for repair or rag-use.

Deliver clean linen to floor closets and collect soiled linens from housekeepers throughout the shift.

Keep laundry, and storage areas clean, safe and organized.

Assist housekeeping team on high-turn days and help deep-clean public areas as needed.

Schedule & Compensation:

Hours: 25–32 hrs/week off-season; up to 40 hrs in peak summer. Typical shift 8 AM – 3 PM, no evenings. Weekends & holidays required.

Pay Range: $16 - $17 per hour DOE

Perks: Employee room discounts, friends-and-family rates, shift beverage, opportunities for cross-training

What We’re Looking For:

6 + months hotel, vacation-rental or professional cleaning experience or equivalent high-volume laundry experience.

Ability to lift 40 lbs, push/pull 100 lb linen carts, and stand/bend for 6–8 hours.

Detail-oriented with a “first time right” mindset; you notice hair on tile from across the room.

Reliable, punctual and able to work independently without constant supervision.

Willingness to handle cleaning chemicals safely (we’ll train).

English required; Spanish or other second language a plus.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check.

How to Apply:

Email a short intro, résumé, and the days you’re available. We review applicants daily and will reach out to schedule an in-person and paid working interview of about 4 hours length.

We’re an equal-opportunity employer committed to a safe, inclusive workplace.
