Description Robert Half is seeking an HR Assistant for a dynamic organization in Troutdale, OR. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual looking to expand their skills in human resources. As the HR Assistant, you will support the HR team with a variety of administrative tasks and help maintain smooth operations within the department.Key Responsibilities:
Process employee changes, including new hires, terminations, and changes in our internal systems.
Assist with onboarding, including preparing onboarding packets, I-9 verification, and ensuring all required documents are complete.
Maintain employee files, both electronically and in hard copy, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
Track and process workers’ compensation claims, wellness needs, and handle employment verifications.
Support new hire processes, including preparing name badges, managing the onboarding spreadsheet, and sending out I-9 reminders.
Handle monthly reports and data updates, including generating reports for team meetings and tracking key metrics.
Manage the termination process, including preparing letters and ensuring all exit documentation is completed.
Assist with HR audits, preparing documentation for compliance and reporting.
Requirements
6-12+months year of experience in an HR or administrative role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS systems is preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail, especially when handling sensitive employee information.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
