All Star Labor and Staffing is currently looking to fill a hybrid position for a company located in the Springfield area. This position is a combination of office related tasks and production work. A candidate will be trained in each position detailed in the descriptions below. Assembly Technician

Customer Orders

Accurately fulfills orders according to customer specifications.

Carefully measures formulated product according to customer order fill weight notes.

Works efficiently, with emphasis on strict quality control standards established in the animal food safety plans Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

Confirms all packaging is free from dust or paste residue.

Establish labels are placed on packaging with care. Trained in SOP # 105. Customer packaging must always have a clean, professional appearance.

Guarantees all corrugated boxes are taped securely for shipment.

Uses caution and double check system to ensure labels are properly marked with lot #, born on or expiration dates, and product name for each customer order.

Immediately inform Production Manager/Production Supervisor/Production Assistant if formula ingredients or packaging deviates from customer specifications. Product overages/shortages during batch formulation is immediately reported to direct supervisor.

Shipping

Will be trained in shipping procedures as schedules allow. Knowledge of shipping requirements is important for administration and production.

Label review

Reviews label content for accuracy. Discrepancies are immediately reported to Production Manager/Production Supervisor/Production Assistants.

Labels are centered correctly, and cleanly, on boxes, pouches, tubes, etc.

Cleaning/Sanitation

Assist in the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning SOP’s#106 and 107

Responsible for cleaning/picking up throughout the production workday.

All Assembly Technicians (ABT Employees and/or temporary) must adhere to hygiene requirements stated in the Animal Food Safety Plan. ABT Employees and/or temporary workers are trained in FSC 36 hygiene requirements prior to starting the first day of employment work in production areas.

Administrative Assistant

Customer Orders

Receives customer orders by phone, fax or email.

Direct customer calls to proper personnel.

Processes customer orders. Assures customer PO has been processed accurately.

Filing customer orders accurately within an established filing system.

Invoicing

Set up truck shipments and get shipping quotes for invoicing.

Invoice customer after order has been properly processed.

Shipping

Prepares international shipping documents.

Coordinates with USDA/APHIS export certificate preparation

Coordinates all outbound shipping.

Review domestic shipping to make sure order was shipped according to customer order specifications.

Checks Purchasing Assistant created labels for accuracy. Ensures shipping documents match customer purchase order.

Accounts Receivable/Payable

Trained in general AR/AP at the appropriate time.

Processes all mail.

Assures ABT purchase orders/packing slips match.

Database

Confirms products are marked off as shipped.

Adds new customers/drop ships.

General Office

Maintains inventory of all supplies needed for office operations.

Orders all supplies when needed.

Other tasks as deemed appropriate by Senior Administrative Assistant.

Qualifications

Education/Knowledge/Experience

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Communication and collaboration with co-workers and customers are a must.

Organizational skills

Proficiency in basic math

Minimum typing skills 30 wpm.

Basic computer skills. Excel, Microsoft 365, and QuickBooks are a plus.

Must adhere to all requirements of the FSC 36 animal food safety plan pertaining to production.

Ability to lift a maximum of 35 lbs.

Must be teachable, and willing to carry out tasks as directed.

Any combination of education or special training related to a production or office environment is desired.

Working conditions

9/80 schedule- Mon-Fri

The daily work schedule hours are 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on all 9-hour days.

The daily work schedule hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on all Short Days (8-hour days).
