Job Title: Assembly MechanicJob DescriptionAs an Assembly Mechanic, you will assemble industrial machinery and their sub-assemblies by following drawings, written procedures, manufacturers’ recommendations, and verbal specifications. You will work with hydraulic and electric-powered systems and perform inspections on parts to determine their condition. You will also set up systems for testing, break them down, and prepare them for paint and/or shipment. Additionally, you will tear down and inspect rebuild systems.Hard Skills

Mechanically inclined

Blueprint/Schematic experience

Power tools

Interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and blueprints

Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems

Operate assembly equipment (torches, pneumatic tools, hydraulic jacks, grinders, pipe fitting/cutting equipment)

Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, forklifts, manlifts, and scissorlifts

Soft Skills

Attention to detail

Advanced understanding of mechanical systems

Flawless organizational skills

Acute attention to detail

Ability to manage work area and maintain high levels of housekeeping and cleanliness

Anticipate and plan for materials and resources needed for jobs
