Maintenance Technician ($18 - $26 per hour)

We are seeking a Part-Time knowledgeable Maintenance Technician. We offer a workspace that fosters growth and development for people of all backgrounds and invests in our employees.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Property Manager—and, when applicable, the Senior Maintenance Technician—the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of moderate to advanced repairs and preventative maintenance tasks to uphold the appearance, functionality, and overall condition of the property. Applicants offered positions will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process which includes criminal history.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, including parking lots, trash enclosures, laundry rooms, community centers, carports, and building walkways (including pressure washing as needed).

Operate and maintain trash compactor equipment.

Perform interior painting of residential units as needed.

Conduct seasonal maintenance:

- - - Spring/Summer: Landscaping tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, weeding, trimming bushes, maintaining shrub beds, planting, repairing sprinkler systems, and maintaining swimming pools (if applicable).

- - - Winter: Snow and ice removal to ensure safety and accessibility.

Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, meeting a 24-hour response goal.

Coordinate and participate in unit turnovers and prepare vacant apartments to meet company standards.

Support the annual preventative maintenance program by inspecting and servicing at least one-sixth of the property’s apartments each month.

Attend and actively participate in company-sponsored training sessions and technical workshops (approximately 6–9 annually).

Participate in an after-hours emergency calls as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience; prior experience in property management maintenance is preferred.

Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.

Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete written reports accurately and efficiently.

Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to interact professionally with residents and staff.
