Mechanical Designer

A Mechanical Designer prepares working drawings, including dimensions, manufacturing instructions, and other design details. In addition, designers work with customers from a wide variety of industries to design products and improve existing designs. Also, designers assist in creating job quotes and production drawings using various software including, SolidWorks, AutoCad, Adobe Illustrator, and Excel.

Desired Skills/Experience:

Show proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D Design software, SolidWorks experience preferred

Have general knowledge of fabrication processes and tools.

Must be able to read measuring instruments accurately.

Have time management skills in order to prioritize tasks accurately to meet multiple or fluctuating deadlines in a fast-paced

working environment to support fabrication shop.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, project managers, and other designers.

Must have excellent work ethic and habits which include being dependable, flexible, results-driven, and a self-starter who is able

to take initiative.
