Responsible for performing, evaluating and communicating the technique and results of a range of complex testing and field activities to support the mechanical integrity program.Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Performs visual inspections while utilizing NDE results to evaluate the equipment per the appropriate in-service code
Develops Mechanical Integrity processes
Performs Level 1 Fitness for Service Evaluations
Evaluates inspection results and makes recommendations
Ensures accuracy and timeliness of data entered into the database
Communicates findings and results to business segments
Ensures compliance to all local, state and federal jurisdictions
Drives and ensures maintenance is complete on company vehicles
Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
Education
H.S. Diploma or GED and experience required for obtaining API 510 or API 570 certification.
Work Experience
Experience reading and interpreting maps, drawings, procedures and applicable operation and repair manuals
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: the safe and compliant operation of processing plants
Knowledge of: facility/system operations
Knowledge of: the safe and compliant operation of internal combustion engines, reciprocating/screw compressors, gas turbines, pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc

API 510 with 1-5 years industry experience required
API 570 preferred
ASNT Level 2 within 1 Year
