Description We are offering an opportunity for a Paralegal located in Salem, Massachusetts. This role is focused on supporting family law cases and involves direct interactions with clients and attorneys. The employment type for this role is a long-term contract with the possibility of contract-to-hireResponsibilities: Support attorneys in managing a high volume of family law cases, including child custody, divorce, child support, and other family law matters. Gather and organize case information, ensuring all relevant details are accurately documented and readily accessible. Work directly with clients to understand their needs and provide necessary legal support. Cross-reference information with the opposing side to ensure accuracy and consistency in case details. Prepare comprehensive documents and case packages, ensuring all necessary paperwork is correctly filled out and submitted in a timely manner. Schedule meetings for attorneys and clients, ensuring efficient time management and organization. Perform administrative duties as required, assisting in the smooth operation of the legal office. Train on the company's billing software to accurately track billable hours and expenses. Utilize briefing and calendar management skills to effectively manage tasks and deadlines. Apply knowledge of Family Law to provide accurate and relevant support to attorneys and clients.Requirements Possess a bachelor's degree in Law or related field Prior work experience in a legal environment, specifically as a Paralegal, would be advantageous Proficient in briefing and preparing legal documents Familiarity with Family Law is essential Excellent calendar management skills, with the ability to manage multiple schedules and deadlines Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in using legal research software and other relevant computer applications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Possess high ethical standards and professionalism in interactions with all levels of the organization Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy.
