To be successful, they will leverage data-driven analysis and meaningful insight (trends, financial analysis, metrics development and tracking), to continuously improve pricing strategy and methodology.This role works closely with the Pricing Manager, Merchandising Manager and Data Analyst to implement strategic pricing applications that increase sales and profit.New Ways of Work : This position has been segmented as hybrid meaning the work is a combination of 3 days onsite In Rosemont, IL or West Linn, OR (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days remotely (Monday and Friday) as defined by the role segmentation.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze market trends, including competitors’ prices, consumer price sensitivity, merchandising & marketing strategies and profitability performance.

Synthesize external trends with internal data, including incoming product costs, competitive price position, current inventory value and gaps to financial goals.

Deliver informed decisions about the appropriate price points for products based on the analysis of internal and external data.

Evaluate consumer demand and item profitability to advise when certain items should be discontinued from CHEF’STORE assortment.

Monitor the results of pricing decisions by evaluating margin rate versus total profit tradeoff. Communicate management regularly on performance opportunities.

Revise pricing decisions if necessary, and proactively monitor products’ performance to determine whether reevaluation is needed.

Maintain detailed records for individual products that can be used to evaluate future market trends and inform future pricing decisions.

RELATIONSHIPS

Internal : CHEF’STORE Resources (Pricing Manager, Data Analyst, Merchandising Managers, Store Managers, Inventory Analysts, Systems Integration, Finance, and Marketing).

External : Vendors, Market/Industry sources, consultants and outside vendors

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum three years' experience in business analytics required.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.

Travel:

Up to 10% travel including flying and driving.

Licenses

Must have a valid drivers license.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Pricing tool experience is a huge plus (Dynamics 365, etc.)

One to three years' experience in food service, retail or other related store-level experience preferred. Possesses analytical, evaluative and data-driven mindset.

Excellent organizational skills and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to interact positively with wide variety of employees at all skill levels.

Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work through obstacles to achieve a goal.

Possesses a high degree of professionalism, tact, and persistence.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $72,000and $83,000. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
