Purchasing ManagerResponsibilities:

The Purchasing, Shipping Logistics and Spare Parts Manager provides the company sound purchasing and cost management analysis and reporting. In support of these purchasing functions, the Manager will assist with inbound and outbound shipping logistic support for raw materials and finished products. The

Manager will also prepare spare parts quotes and will accept approved purchase orders from the company’s current clients.

Work closely with project management and engineering personnel to obtain all details related to purchasing requirements.

Negotiate, establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure competitiveness.

Purchase orders will go out with reference to specifications, schedule and detailing standards.

Provide raw material and buyout costs and estimates to project management and sales personnel.

Manage purchasing and job cost information.

Requirements:

5+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in the fabrication and manufacturing industry.

1-3 years of experience in accounting/finance related functions preferred

Associates degree in accounting, finance or business preferred, but not required.

Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.

Sage Accounting platform experience a plus.

Mechanical aptitude and experience a plus.

Familiarity with AutoCAD and blueprint reading preferred
