Seeking Experienced, Live-in Caregiver

We are a small neighborhood west of Philomath in need of a resident caregiver for an elderly member of our community. The person in need of care is 80 years of age and has been dealing with a decline in daily function for the past couple of years. He is in good physical health and continues to maintain a relatively active and independent daily life. He does need significant support, however, and that support is continuing to expand as his condition progresses. To aid him during this time while he continues to live at home, members of our current support team help with his health needs, meals, shopping, transportation, appointments, home and property upkeep, repair, and maintenance, and facilitating his connection to his social networks and faith community.

Experience and training:

This role is suited for someone who has formal healthcare and/or caregiving training, credentials, and experience. CNA's and state-certified caregivers are strongly encouraged to reach out for an interview. Please note that a resume with strong references are required for this position. In addition to experience and training, we are looking for someone seeking a life within a community of folks all working hard to support each other’s lives toward greater function, health, and success.

Residential Role:

We need someone who is willing and able to relocate to our beautiful rural community. You will be living in a large farm house with the client and one other resident caregiver with whom you will share and coordinate responsibilities. You will have options for renting a single room or multiple rooms, depending on the amount of living space needed.

Our community is nestled right next to Harris Bridge Vineyard, a small independent winery west of Philomath. As such, there are many additional opportunities for expanding your scope of work depending on your interests and vision for your role within this greater web of enterprises.

This position will likely involve several flexible hours of caregiving hours of work daily with additional work for the vineyard/winery/farm as an option if desired.
