Summary: Oculus Studios and Armature are searching for a Senior Environment Artist that has a superior artistic eye, elevated technical abilities, and experience creating highly polished and beautiful worlds with VR/MR in mind. You will be working with the Art Director, Art Leads, Tech, and Design to establish a wide variety of art assets all the way from environments to props to 3D UI elements!You’ll bring thrilling, immersive experiences to VR/MR by creating environments, props, and related storytelling elements, while also working with technical teams to ensure the best performance on target hardware. As a team collaborator, you’ll also help mentor other artists, and identify art pipeline, workflow, and process improvements that the team can adopt to make the best possible product under the best possible environment.Required Skills: Senior Environment Artist, Armature Responsibilities:

Creating immersive VR environments in Unreal Engine 5

Environment Props and asset creation using Maya, Painter, and other related art tools

Establish, own, and document new workflows that may come up

Interface with Design and Tech to ensure props and levels are on spec

Willingness to mentor other artists of various experience levels to bring up the skills of all art team as a whole

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of experience and evidence of completing multiple game titles

Proficiency within Unreal Engine, Maya, Substance Painter, and Photoshop

Affinity for hard surface and environment layout and prop modeling

Experience communicating and collaborating with multidisciplinary team members

Experience with visual design aesthetic and can analyze and critique art in a productive manner

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Examples of working with outsourced, asset libraries, or other artist's work

Experience tiling materials within Substance Designer

Experience with non-environment props such as 3D UI elements and materials

Experience with static and dynamic lights within Unreal Engine

Interest in new art techniques and can comfortably explore new art pipelines

Experience working with and without direct reference or concept

Experience launching a VR game title
