Summary: Make cutting-edge games for the Oculus VR hardware! You will join an experienced first-party game team, providing technical knowledge and artistry to help create great games from top-tier IP. You will define and build tools, techniques, and pipelines, partnering with animators, artists, engineers, designers and production to bring stunning characters to life in AAA VR experiences.Required Skills: Senior Technical Animator/Rigger - Armature Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Art, Animation, Engineering and Design teams to ensure high-quality character and animation assets are delivered on time and within technical/performance specifications in Unreal

Work with a multidisciplinary team to prototype and establish tools and pipeline solutions for character development. These established practices and tools will be used by internal and external teams

Collaborate with external partners, participating in the maintaining and expanding of character rigs and tools

Rig and skin characters and props using a variety of tools and plugins (custom in house suite, Maya, NG Skin Tools etc)

Creation and management of corrective blendshapes and support of their in game implementation

Work with Character Artists and Engineers to support facial animation pipeline

Setup and management of dynamic character cloth and RBAN systems in Maya/UE5

Create and implement animation systems in UE5 using animation blend trees and montages

Research and development of the latest tools, rigging techniques and workflows

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years industry experience as a Technical Animator

Experience with Blendshape/Facial Animation Pipelines from Maya to Unreal - creation/management/implementation

A portfolio that demonstrates a variety of character skinning and rigging setups in a range of styles from stylized to realistic - examples should include facial and full body setups - including driven blendshapes

Proficiency working in both Maya and Unreal Engine 5

Experience with dynamic character cloth and RBAN systems in Maya/UE5

Experience with animation state machines, blend trees, and montages

Proficiency scripting in both MEL and Python

Shipped at least one AAA title as a Sr. Technical Animator or like titled position

Proven communication and problem-solving skills

Experience working with outsourcing teams on a large scale project

Previous experience building or contributing to a facial animation pipeline utilizing the combination of blend shapes and joints

Experience authoring Unreal Control Rigs and Full Body IK

Experience working with motion capture and hand-keyed animation
