RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Beaverton, OR that is seeking a Software Engineer.
Responsible for development of application using object-oriented Java tools and methodologies. Responsible for customization and configuration of WC components and solutions. Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Responsible for understanding and documenting technical specifications at the javadoc and design/specification level. Responsible for code management and utilization of code management software.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree required; Diploma in Rapid Application Development Proven ability to work in a Test Driven Development manner Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) (www.microsoft.com) covers Microsoft Windows operating systems and application development; Information Systems Examination Board (www.iseb.org.uk) Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server technology including Windows NT4, Windows 2000 & Windows 2003, Exchange 5.5, Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003, Active Directory, SQL Server, Terminal Server and Citrix Server Working knowledge of FTP, Telnet, Ping, DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP, HTTP and LDAP Proficient in application development tools Software tools, which automate or assist part of the development process Has a good knowledge of a wide area of IS concepts and practice, including the systems development life cycle, with a deep knowledge of at least one area of specialization Familiar with database software Familiar with operating infrastructure Knowledge of the IS infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks etc) used within the organizationKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
