Title: Software Engineer - (C / MATLAB or Python) Location: Hillsboro, OR Duration: Full time/Direct Hire Pay Range: Between $120,000 to $180,000 per year - may vary based on experience Visa support available via visa transfer Our client, a leader in RF component design and test, has an immediate need for a highly motivated C Software Engineer to join their team in the development of high-end and mid-range Vector Network Analyzers. This is a small, cross-functional team in a great location that is very collaborative with close personal interactions. The selected individual will work with a highly qualified team of engineers, located both locally and abroad. Your Role - Working with the team to build performant modern C applications for integration with VNA firmware. - Working closely with industry experts to convert high-level ideas into work products suitable for company's instruments. - Working with modeling tools such as MATLAB with the goal of transforming high-level algorithms into performant C code. - Shepherding code through a complete development process, including requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, and integration. Your Qualifications - The ideal candidate will have strong background in using the tools of the general engineering trade for modeling and algorithm development with a specific goal of converting those implementations into C. - BS in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent educational certificate. - Approximately 5 years of related work experience. - Coding experience in MATLAB or numerical Python. - Coding experience in C (preferred) or similar OO language. - A working knowledge of highly performant coding techniques such as multi-threading, parallel computation, SIMD instructions, or GPU programming is highly desirable. - Enthusiasm to work on technically challenging projects and to quickly learn/grow in the process. - Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers and colleagues. - Occasional travel to European and U.S. locations. - Candidates must be current US residents with valid work authorization.
