Freebridge Brewing is looking for an experienced sous chef at our brewery and public house in beautiful The Dalles, Oregon.

We are gearing up for summer and are looking to expand our hours and days. The Dalles is a great central location in the Columbia River Gorge for tons of outdoor activities, and is a short drive to Hood River, Portland, Bend and the Oregon coast. Our team works with local distributors, small farms, and puts an emphasis on fresh, deliciously elevated pub food. Our stellar team consists of brewers, bakers, chefs, bartenders, servers and more. We all have a hand in making the pub successful and are all proud of our work; from the owners to the bookkeeper.

Basic Qualifications:


Motivated to learn, with above-basic kitchen skills, a hard working attitude, and a desire to exceed your own expectations.

Pizza experience desired, but not required.

There is room to grow, desire to advance and make more dough.

Responsibility Overview:

The sous chef is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the kitchen, as directed by Chef Dave and the kitchen manager.

This position is expected to comply with all health and safety regulations, follow proper food handling procedures, and generally maintain a clean and well organized kitchen.

The sous chef, under the guidance of the chef/kitchen manager, is expected to read and follow all recipes correctly and in a reasonable timeframe and to properly prepare all menu items as ordered - working collaboratively and efficiently with other members of the kitchen crew.

Must be able to stand and work at a fast pace for periods of up to 4 hours. Must be able to stoop, bend and reach. Must have finger and hand dexterity. Must be able to lift and carry pans, pots and other containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
