Description Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled Interim Senior Financial Analyst to join our team on a temporary basis to assist with a full remote audit and budget project for our local government client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting audit processes, and contributing to budget planning and analysis.Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data for audit purposes.

Assist in preparing audit schedules, reconciliations, and documentation to support audit findings.

Conduct variance analysis and identify trends to support budget planning and forecasting.

Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models to aid in budget projections and scenario analysis.

Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management as required.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.

Proven experience (5+ years) as a Financial Analyst, preferably in a corporate finance or accounting environment.

Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
