Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant based in Eugene, Oregon. The role involves managing various financial tasks, providing excellent customer service, and covering other roles as needed. Responsibilities: Manage the collection of sales tax exemption certificates from customers ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Handle a variety of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks. Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries. Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported. Provide excellent customer service, resolve customer inquiries and maintain accurate customer records. Cover other roles within the team as required, ensuring business continuity. Utilize skills in Sales Tax management to ensure compliance with regulations. Support the team in other accounting tasks as needed.Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations Solid understanding of General Ledger management Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close activities Knowledge and understanding of Sales Tax processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Familiarity with accounting software and systems Attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrated integrity, ethical standards, and understanding of confidentialityRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
