Description Jamie Benway with Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in the bustling city of Portland, Oregon. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in various tasks, such as processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.Responsibilities: Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications Maintaining precise customer credit records Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner Regular monitoring of customer accounts to ensure accuracy Taking appropriate action based on the status of customer accounts Utilizing MS Excel to maintain and manage data Adhering to all company policies and regulations Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operations Continually improving processes and procedures for efficiency Maintaining confidentiality of all customer informationPlease contact Jamie Benway with Robert Half to review this position. Job Order: 03600-0013072454Requirements Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role is required. Proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory. Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting principles and procedures. Familiarity with accounting software packages is preferred. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Excellent numerical skills along with the ability to analyze, compare, and interpret facts and figures quickly. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Ability to handle confidential information. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. CPA or CMA certification is a plus. An understanding of applicable laws and regulations is beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on a variety of data is required.
