Summer Farm Work

We are seeking a motivated, hard-working person to help out 2-3 days per week this summer on a beautiful hay and vegetable farm near Emigrant Lake in Ashland. There may be a possibility of extending the position past summer.

Duties

-General property upkeep: mowing, weed-whacking, watering, pruning blackberries and other shrubs.

-Assisting with flood irrigation of hay fields: moving water via a series of ditches into different sections of the hay fields, maintaining ditches, and collecting and stacking 50 lb hay bales a couple of times during the summer after hay cuttings.

-Vegetable and flower garden work: weeding and watering.

Must possess valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. Wage is competitive for agricultural work.
