Field Service TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing and supporting the cabling infrastructure of our company work sites. This includes maintaining and repairing store endpoints, phone system hardware, and assisting in the support of networking equipment and store servers. For larger-scale installations and remodels, you'll work under the direct supervision of an experienced technician. You'll also be expected to report any issues or concerns that affect the operational stability of any production system or environment to the chain of command with a sense of urgency. This role involves frequent travel. The role requires standing for extended periods of time and the ability to perform duties while on a ladder, on the roof, or within a confined space.Skills

Basic on-site service and support for store endpoints

Basic on-site cabling infrastructure service, support, maintenance and repairs

Working with low-voltage, cabling, data servers, reading technical documentation

Utilization of hand/power tools

Understanding of basic computer applications, telecommunications, network and computer hardware

Ability to work in small teams

Urgent communication of operational issues

Work Site/EnvironmentThis position requires candidates to reside in Central Oregon. All team members with the company leave together to travel to various work-sites within the region or outside state-to-state.This role operates on a 7am to 3:30/4pm shift, with a potential starting point in Prineville. You may occasionally work a Saturday, but if local, we aim to have everyone home and off by 3:30-4pm. If you are not local, you may be working until 6pm.The role requires comfort with dust and debris, as you'll be working in areas by electrical/computer and machinery outlets that can be dusty or up in the ceiling / down by the floors. You may be required to complete a LEB (Electrician Limited Energy Technician) Cert once settled in, which is a 2-year course expensed by the company. The physical requirements of the role include frequent use of a computer, mouse and keyboard, and standard office equipment. You should be able to lift, move, or transport items weighing up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs.About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
