Locus is currently searching for a Warehouse Manager/Inventory & Logistics Associate for our client. This is a full time onsite role. Schedule: Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pmSummary A large telecommunications service provider is seeking a reliable and independent Warehouse Manager/Inventory & Logistics Associate in Portland, OR, which will soon transition to a new facility in Salem, OR. This role will manage logistics of materials, equipment and supplies for Operations, Engineering, and Outside Plant. Job Description - Order, receive, track, inspect and organize stored materials, equipment and supplies. - Maintain stock levels of spares and consumable equipment and supplies. - Handle scope and occasionally clean electrostatic sensitive equipment. - Manage procurement process for purchase of off-net services. - Manage shipment of materials to remote locations. - Recommend improvements or new processes to managing inventory and supplies. - Source new vendors and evaluate existing vendors to ensure quality and price are favorable to LS Networks. - Ensure that goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner according to documented processes, including placing orders with suppliers, planning the transportation route and payload, selecting the mode of transportation, tendering the order for transportation, and tracking the shipment from pick up through delivery. - Input and maintain records of equipment inventory. - Periodically audit inventory records and make corrections as needed. - Work closely with suppliers, Engineering, Operations and Outside Plant to ensure efficient and effective execution of defined processes and goods transportation. - Examine, inspect and document stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damages to supervisors. - Manage and track vendor return material authorizations (RMA). - Maintain effective vendor relationships to ensure accurate status and delivery of purchased material. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Proven experience working as member of a team. - Understands and is familiar with Logistics terminology as it relates to management of inventory and transportation of goods. - Meticulous attention to detail when managing sensitive electronic equipment worth thousands of dollars. - Able to initiate, complete and meet deadlines of projects with some direction and guidance. - Able to negotiate pricing with multiple vendors to obtain the best quality and price. - Able to develop an understanding of local markets and customers' needs. Familiar with available vendors and resources for outside contract support. - Able to prioritize and plan work activities; Ability to work multiple tasks in a high stress, fast paced environment with changing priorities. - Able to anticipate equipment needs of team members using available tools and reports. - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own and team actions; Follows through on commitments. - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly. - Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. - Working knowledge and use of spreadsheet, word processing and office productivity programs is required. Previous working experience with FileMaker database is a plus. - Able to lift and move 30 pounds with the aid of a hand truck.
